Man arrested after Dickinson stabbing incident

DICKINSON, N.D. (KXNET) — One man has been arrested after police say he stabbed another man in Dickinson on the morning of Sunday, November 24.
According to the Dickinson Police Department, at approximately 6:30 a.m., officers responded to a report at the Villard Commons Apartment Complex, where one man was armed with a knife and the other was bleeding. After police separated the two men, officers learned through an interpreter that the incident stemmed from an argument over cigarettes.

The suspect involved a 31-year-old man who was arrested and charged with Resisting an Officer (a Class B Misdemeanor). He is currently in custody at the Southwest Multi-County Correctional Center. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed an immigration detainer on the man.
The man police say was stabbed was treated and released. The case currently remains under investigation.
