(KRON) -- Atherton police are investigating a residential burglary that occurred at some point in the last seven days, the department announced Monday. Police responded to a home on Fredrick Avenue at 8:39 a.m. on Monday and found that suspects had smashed the master bedroom window in order to gain entry. Atherton PD said the incident occurred within the last seven days, suggesting that evidence of the burglary was not discovered until Monday. Anyone with information or who has surveillance video in the area of Fredrick Ave. is asked to contact the Atherton Police Department at (650)-688-6500. Earlier this month, Atherton authorities responded to two residential burglaries that occurred on back-to-back days. In September, a rash of home burglaries over Labor Day weekend prompted Atherton Chief of Police Steven McCulley to issue a statement to the community.
