BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Louisiana State Police are investigating after two people were hurt after an 18-wheeler overturned and caught fire in East Baton Rouge Parish on Tuesday, Nov. 26. Troopers said the incident occurred on Tuesday at Old Scenic Highway and Carney Road in Zachary. According to LSP, one person was airlifted away from the scene, and another was transported to a local hospital. Troopers are currently at the scene of the incident attempting to work on getting the roadway open to the public, according to LSP. No further details were provided at this time.
