PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WROC) — Orvis, a Vermont-based apparel store that sells outdoors high-end apparel, accessories, and fishing gear, will be closing its Pittsford Plaza location before the end of the year. According to multiple reports, the business would close some of its 80 locations across the country, along with layoffs and the discontinuing of its catalog. This location is holding a closing sale — which includes 25% off most men's and women's apparel, and sales on fishing gear — and a spokesperson for Orvis said the target closing date is December 24.
