WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- On Thanksgiving Day, passengers looking to take the Metro can expect schedules to be different for buses, trains and MetroAccess. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) announced that the Metrorail will open at 7 a.m. and close at midnight. All trains will run on a reduced Sunday schedule following the times below: Red Line: Trains every 10 minutes all day. Blue Line: Trains every 15 minutes all day. Silver Line: Trains every 15 minutes all day. Orange Line: Trains every 15 minutes all day. Yellow Line: Trains every eight minutes all day. Green Line: Trains every eight minutes all day. Metro to close stations in December for construction: What you should know Officials said all Metrobuses will operate on a Sunday schedule and all MetroAccess subscription trips will be canceled. MetroAccess customers wishing to travel during the holiday should make a separate reservation. Officials said there will be free parking at Metro-owned garages and lots.
