Three arrested after St. John the Baptist Parish traffic stop, drug bust

GARYVILLE, La. (WGNO) — Three people were arrested on Saturday, Nov. 23, after a traffic stop led to a drug bust in St. John the Baptist Parish.
Three men hospitalized in separate shootings across New Orleans
The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office reported that deputies arrested 47-year-old Jerry Beeland, 56-year-old Randal Freeman and 53-year-old William Preston during a traffic stop in the Garyville area.
During the stop, St. John Parish deputies said they recovered 87 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Through an investigation, investigators learned that "all three subjects involved in the traffic stop were actively involved in a criminal conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in St. John the Baptist Parish."
Beeland faces charges of prohibited acts, misdemeanor drug paraphernalia and felony possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Freeman faces three counts of contempt of court (felony) and felony possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Preston faces a charge of felony possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine.
