Sylvan Thirty
What is up with the multiple closures in this West Dallas complex? The Dallas Observer reports that Sylvan Avenue Tavern, sister to Bryan Street Tavern, was the fifth business in the building to depart. In a Facebook post on November 4, the owners announced the place was closed, writing, “ The complex is dying and we’ve lost four other businesses prior to us making our decision to close. And now we’ve become the fifth one to leave. We’ve enjoyed our time there, but without support from the property owners we had call it a day.”
Cocktail bar Jettison closed in October, while breakfast and lunch cafe Shayna’s Place closed during the summer as did Cooper’s Meat Market and Steakhouse. Craft & Co. also closed down at some point in the last year. Seven restaurants remain open — for now.
