Nov 26, 2024
Skies are clearing and temperatures much colder out-the-door this Tuesday morning! An extra layer will be needed at the bus stop for the little ones as wind chills are sitting in the 20s.
Bright sun is back today, marking the brightest day of the week but back to more seasonal temperatures, hovering in the middle 40s. Eventually, winds will be lighter today from the southwest at 6-11 mph.
Wednesday is a huge traveling day nationwide! Locally, clouds will be thickening early with scattered showers developing by the afternoon and evening statewide, as temperatures hover in the middle 40s.
Wednesday night, snow will begin to mix with the rain, especially after midnight and into the overnight hours. During this time, some slushy accumulations will be possible on grassy areas and elevated surfaces. Most roads will remain wet but a few slick spots could occur on various bridges and overpasses in the colder air.
Thanksgiving will bring additional cloud cover with patchy drizzle and flurries, with highs only reaching the upper 30s. The coldest air of the season and coldest since mid-January is expected for the upcoming weekend.
