COLUMBIA COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) — Deputies in central Wisconsin had a busy weekend working to keep citizens safe, making or assisting with 17 drug- or impaired-driving arrests. Between Friday and Sunday, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office conducted numerous traffic stops that resulted in warnings, citations, and arrests. Drivers identified in Wisconsin crash that sent a 23-year-old to the hospital with life-threatening injuries Below are some of the criminal operating while intoxicated (OWI) and drug-related arrests made over the weekend: David Radtke, 34, of Baraboo Operating while intoxicated with a passenger under 18 Possession of THC Possession of drug paraphernalia Brandon Hendrickson, 42, of Fitchburg Possession of methamphetamine Possession of drug paraphernalia Deon Noyce, 28, of Madison Possession of methamphetamine Possession of drug paraphernalia Felony bail jumping Eric Centeno-Rocha, 30, of Pardeeville Operating while intoxicated (second offense) Resisting/obstructing Failure to install ignition interlock Tiffany Saviano, 30, of Madison Operating after revocation Failure to install ignition interlock Marsha Funmaker, 51, of Merrillian Possession of narcotics Possession of drug paraphernalia Jacob Shin, 25, of Deforest Operating while intoxicated (first offense) Possession of THC Lucas Mathews, 27, of Oregon Operating while intoxicated (second offense) Possession of THC Possession of drug paraphernalia Joshua Westra, 40, of Waupun Operating while intoxicated (first offense) Possession of drug paraphernalia Tonya Hogan, 50, of Baraboo Possession of Schedule II narcotics Possession of drug paraphernalia Violation of probation John Seiler, 57, of Baraboo Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine Possession of drug paraphernalia Felony bail jumping Carrying a concealed knife Violation of probation Sarah Lewis, 36, of Baraboo Operating while intoxicated (second offense) Possession of narcotics Peter Otterstrom, 35, of Watertown Operating while intoxicated (third offense) Possession of LSD Possession of THC Possession of drug paraphernalia The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office says results like these highlight the importance of their dedication to proactive traffic enforcement. “Each of these impaired drivers was a potentially fatal crash waiting for the right circumstances to happen,” said Columbia County Sheriff’s Captain David Clark. “We are dedicated to ensuring these people that made the dangerous decision to consume alcohol or drugs and then operate a motor vehicle are held accountable for their actions.” Deputies urge individuals who have been drinking or using drugs to find a safe and sober way home. “An OWI is expensive and can lead to jail time; putting your life and the lives of innocent motorists at risk just isn’t worth it,” added Clark. Some individuals have yet to be formally charged in the Wisconsin Circuit Court system. No additional details were provided.
