FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River and New Bedford Police Department held their annual “Guns for Groceries” event this weekend. The program offers Market Basket gift cards and Domino’s pizza coupons for guns. Anyone who returned a shotgun or long gun received a $75 gift card. Handguns returned earned a $100 gift card. Dominos pizza coupons will be also be distributed. According to the department, 51 handguns, 60 long guns and a numerous amount of BB guns will turned in, which was a new record. In New Bedford, a total of 33 long guns and 13 handguns were turned in. Categories: News
