MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Ten construction workers were dragged out of a Bethel Grove home at gunpoint and robbed Sunday afternoon, police say. Memphis Police responded to the robbery in the 2600 block of Burns Avenue around 6 p.m., where 10 men told police they were doing construction work at the home when two men with guns robbed them. One of the men said he was dragged out of the house by one of the gunmen, who then took the victims' wallets, cell phones, money, and keys. The suspects left the scene in a victim's 2012 Nissan Maxima. Around half an hour later, officers reportedly found the Maxima a little over half a mile away, at a home in the 2400 block of Lowell Avenue. Marterrio D. During a search of the home on Lowell Avenue, police found two cell phones, $359 in cash, the victims' IDs and debit cards, and three guns. According to MPD, Armstrong admitted to robbing the construction workers. He told police that he needed the money and was the passenger in the Maxima. Armstrong and McIntosh were charged with 10 counts of Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Burglary, Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, and Employment of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony. McIntosh was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Manufacture/Deliver/Sell to wit: Methamphetamine, and Possession of a Controlled Substance to wit: Marijuana. Their bonds have not been set.
