A sinkhole in Oceanside has closed both northbound and southbound lanes on Melrose Drive at Cannon Road for the following 24 hours, Oceanside police said on Sunday around 2:30 p.m. No other details were immediately available. Crews work to empty water from a sinkhole that appeared in Oceanside on Nov. 24, 2024. (NBC 7 San Diego)
