Police investigating deadly shooting at Truman and I435

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- KCPD says a homicide took place today, November 24, near Truman Road and I-435.
KCPD says that this afternoon around 4:45 p.m., officers were called to Truman and I-435 on an "ambulance in route call." When those officers arrived, they found one man slumped over in a car sitting on the southbound exit ramp of I-435.

That man was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
KCPD says that this is now being investigated as a homicide. They're also saying that they don't have any suspects in custody.
Hours later, KCPD sent out a release detailing that the shooting originally occurred in Independence. KCPD says that the investigation has been taken over by Independence Police.
