Rain returns Monday, before a cold snap, wintry holiday travel

Central Ohio Weather and Radar
High pressure brought clearing skies Sunday afternoon, as temperatures edged close to 50 degrees. High clouds are filtering back in overnight, which will keep morning readings from dropping much below the upper 30s.
Low pressure will track from across the Great Lakes late on Monday, bringing afternoon and evening showers and mild conditions, with highs in the mid-50s. A cold front will sweep through Ohio Monday night, ending the rain and bringing back chilly air, with brisk northwesterly winds, as temperatures fall into the 30s early Tuesday.
Partly cloudy and cool conditions will prevail on the two busiest travel days, Tuesday and Wednesday. Afternoon highs will only climb into the low to mid-40s.
A storm developing in the southern Plains will bring increasing clouds Wednesday, and an expanding area of rain across the Midwest. If the storm tracks north into Kentucky on Thanksgiving morning, a mix of rain and snow will overspread Ohio Wednesday night and continue on the holiday.
Blustery and colder weather will follow for Black Friday, along with a few snow showers, and persist through the remainder of the holiday weekend, with subfreezing temperatures for the Ohio State-Xichigan game Saturday afternoon.
