Nov 24, 2024
NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – This year, Thanksgiving falls on November 28, which means Black Friday is on November 29. Both Albuquerque and Santa Fe will have closures to observe the holiday.
Albuquerque
The City of Albuquerque said most of their city offices and services will be closed on both days. However, the Sunport will be open both days. The 311 Contact Center is closed on Thanksgiving but open the next day, as is the case with the BioPark and Albuquerque Museum. Albuquerque's community centers will close at 5 p.m. on November 27 and stay closed through November 30.
Thursday trash customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday. All convenience centers and landfills will be closed on Thanksgiving as well.

Santa Fe
In Santa Fe, there will be no Santa Fe Trails and Ride services on November 28. It will resume, on a holiday schedule, the next day. The Transit Administration locations will be closed. All libraries, senior centers, recreation centers, and the Municipal Court will be closed on both days. However, the Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe Golf Course will stay open. On Thanksgiving, the Parking Division is observing the day as a "meter holiday."
Residential trash collection will occur one day later starting on Thanksgiving, because there is no service on that day. Commercial trash collection is not impacted.
