Man fatally shot in Chatham

A man was fatally shot early Sunday in Chatham on the South Side.The man was in the 400 block of East 87th Place about 4:45 a.m. when someone opened fire, Chicago police said. The man, 28, was shot several times. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. No one was in custody as of early Sunday afternoon.
