A blustery finish to the weekend
Nov 23, 2024
Sunday and Monday will be filled with a plenty of sunshine as High pressure builds in, but winds will be quite blustery Sunday gusting as much as 35-40 MPH to make the high around 50° feel a bit cooler. Those winds relax for Monday with readings climbing to a much better feeling low 50s. Then we are in for a significant weather pattern change for the rest of the week and likely lasting into the following week as well with cooler air moving in and a series of weather system moving through the area.
Low pressure passing to the north on Tuesday will send a Cold Front through Southern New England, resulting in rain showers in the morning and early afternoon. That front will signal much cooler air filtering into the region for Wednesday. Fortunately, Wednesday will feature a good deal of sunshine and fine travel conditions around New England, but highs will only be in the mid 40s. Thanksgiving also looks to remain dry throughout the day, but another storm system will be moving in for Thursday evening that will last into Friday bring more rain, gusty winds and perhaps some snow mixing in across far northern portions of the state Friday morning as colder air will be very close by as storm system develops along the Mid-Atlantic coast on Friday.
