SANGER, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two people were arrested after an armed robbery was reported involving four high school-age victims near Sanger High School on Wednesday, the Sanger Police Department said.
Police say at around 5:15 p.m., officers responded to reports of an armed robbery near Sanger High School, at 9th Street and Bethel Avenue, and near Sanger Academy, at 9th Street and Cottle Avenue.
According to the victims, three suspects approached them on foot. One suspect produced a firearm and demanded money, which the victims complied with. Police say the suspects fled the area after one of the armed suspects assaulted one of the victims.
Investigators say a probation compliance check at a residence in Fresno resulted in the arrest of 19-year-old Ty Boissonneault of Fresno and 18-year-old Colton Desantis of Sanger in connection with the robbery. The two suspects were arrested on suspicion of robbery, assault, and weapons violations. Both were booked into Fresno County Jail.
