EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso's Department of Public Health and the El Paso Fire Department in partnership with the Ysleta Independent School District (YISD) are offering free flu vaccines this Saturday, Nov. 23, according to the City. Photos: City of El Paso The City says they will be offering free flu vaccines to everyone six months of age and older and the drive-thru event is open to all YISD employees, students, families, and the general public. The first 150 participants will receive a free "Be PowerFlu" t-shirt and other giveaways. "Influenza (flu) is a highly contagious respiratory illness that can cause severe complications, including pneumonia and bacterial infections, and can even be fatal," the City said.
