HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - A man was arrested in Holyoke on Wednesday in connection with an attempted murder. Holyoke police arrest two in heroin, fentanyl distribution investigation In January 2022, 48-year-old Wilfredo Dejesus Jr. was named as the suspected gunman in connection with shooting a man in the abdomen area on Elting Circle in Holyoke. An arrest warrant was issued for attempted murder, possession of a firearm without an FID, possession of ammunition without an FID, and was considered armed and dangerous.  On Wednesday, the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assisted Holyoke police in arresting Dejesus. He was taken into custody on a Fugitive from Justice warrant and faces charges including attempted murder and firearm-related offenses.
