EGG HARBOR, Wis. (WFRV) - A 64-year-old man from Sturgeon Bay was pronounced dead on Thursday morning after a crash on WIS 42 in Door County. According to the Door County Sheriff's Office, multiple agencies were called to a two-vehicle crash on WIS 42 in Egg Harbor near Sunny Point Road around 10:35 a.m. on November 20. Deputies say an initial investigation showed that a van driven by a 64-year-old man from Sturgeon Bay was heading south on WIS 42 when it reportedly crossed the center line and hit a northbound SUV. Fox Crossing Police Department investigating shooting that left one man hurt The northbound SUV was being driven by a 30-year-old man, also from Sturgeon Bay. The release noted that the 64-year-old man was taken to a local hospital where he was then pronounced dead. The 30-year-old was airlifted to a Green Bay hospital for treatment of his injuries. There were no other occupants in either of the vehicles. WIS 42 was closed for roughly four hours due to the crash and has since reopened.
