WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said Monday that a kitten was missing after people burglarized a home and stole the 2-month-old cat in Southeast on Friday.
MPD said the break-in took place around 6:35 p.m. in the 2400 block of 15th Place SE. The accused burglars took items and the tortoiseshell kitten before they left the home.

Police asked anyone who has seen the kitten or knows anything about the incident to call 202-727-9099 or text their tip to 50411.

MPD said a reward of up to $1,000 is available to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the people responsible.
