BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Kern County Libraries are hosting a food drive and teen book drive this month. Fahra Daredia joined 17 News at Noon with information on this month's library donation events. From now until Dec. 23 Kern County libraries are teaming up with Gleaners and hosting a food drive. Community members can go to any library branch and drop off nonperishable food items and Gleaners will pick them up. If you are finishing up a book that a teenager or young adult would be interested in you can drop that book off at and library branch until Nov. 30 and that book will be taken to the Jamison Center to a teenager in need of the book.
