Man arrested after reporting his girlfriend's shooting

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - A man who told emergency responders that his girlfriend had been shot has been arrested by detectives with the Shreveport Police Department.

Lonnie Troquille, 37, was standing outside of his residence when police arrived in the 100 block of East Herndon Street on Sun., Nov. 17 just after midnight.
Police allege that Troquille told officers his girlfriend had been shot and was inside the residence.

Medics and officers entered the home and found a female victim with a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Medics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Shreveport Police Violent Crimes investigators interviewed Lonnie Troquille about his girlfriend's shooting before arresting him.
