Hawaii men's basketball defeats Weber State in overtime

The University of Hawaii men's basketball team rallied late to defeat Weber State 73-68 in overtime on Sunday evening.
A Stan Sheriff Center crowd of 2,637 watched Hawaii improve to 4-0 prior to its Friday home game against national collegiate basketball powerhouse North Carolina.

Tanner Christensen led the Rainbow Warriors with a team-high 25 points, making his first nine field goal and free throw attempts. The Utah Tech graduate transfer finished 10-for-11 with four rebounds, including a 5-for-9 performance from the free throw line.
The Wildcats (1-3) led 38-31 at halftime and 10 with 15:14 left, but the 'Bows clawed back to tie the game by the end of regulation. A Christensen bucket in the paint with 6.1 seconds left tied the contest at 57 and sent the game into overtime, as a Weber State floater at the buzzer was off the mark.
Blaise Threatt had a game-high 27 points for the Wildcats with nine rebounds.
Next up for Hawaii is a home contest against current No. 10 and national power North Carolina on Friday. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
