RIVERSIDE — Four people were shot and two others suffered stab wounds during an assault at a home in Riverside, authorities said Sunday.
Paramedics were dispatched at 10:35 p.m. Saturday to 11240 Town and Country Drive, the Riverside Fire Department reported. That location is west of La Sierra Avenue and north of the 91 Freeway.
Three people suffered critical injuries and three others suffered moderate injuries, the Fire Department said.
“Riverside Police Department arrived first, and cleared fire units into the scene once it was safe,” said Riverside Fire Department Battalion Chief Pat Hopkins.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the assaults was being handled by the Riverside Police Department.
“Officers and detectives are with all the involved parties and there are no outstanding suspects,” the Riverside Police Department said on social media. “It appears this shooting may have stemmed from an altercation that occurred at a party in this street.”
