A man was shot and killed in Pine City, Minn., on Friday and shortly after with the help of witnesses, a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the death, authorities said. The Pine County Sheriff’s Office gave the following details in a news release Saturday: On Friday, deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 57000 block of Barn Springs Road. When they arrived, they found a man who was dead. Witnesses said they had seen the shooting and fled to safety. A 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with the shooting shortly after with the help of the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office. The man was being held at the Pine County Detention Center. The sheriff’s office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating the death. The victim’s identity will be released after an autopsy and his family is notified, the sheriff’s office said.
