CI DIVISION Dakota United 3, Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville 0 Dakota United finally got the best of its area rival on the grand stage, topping Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville in the title game Saturday at White Bear Lake Area High Scholl after dropping the previous three state title games in succession to the Blazing Cats. Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville (8-2) won the regular season matchup between the two teams by a 2-1 tally in September The championship is the Hawks’ third in the CI Division, and first since 2012. Dakota United’s defense deserves much of the praise. The Hawks didn’t allow a single goal in three state tournament matches after pitching just one shutout up to this weekend. Dakota United’s roster included: Aiden Alementi, Jacob Jackson, Henry Eisele, Malina Finch, Addison Smith, Ada Kramer, Makai Mejia, Myles Johnson, Oran Hill, Colin Price, Alex Capitani, Mustafa Adnan, Saksham Khulbe, Jacob Staats, Justice Parker, Ryan Errigo, Joshua Jackson and Greidin Corley. The Hawks (9-1-1) are a co-op consisting of athletes from Eastview, Rosemount, Eagan, Apple Valley, Two Rivers, Hastings and FIT Academy Charter. PI DIVISION Minneapolis South 5, Rochester 4 A year after a runner-up finish, Minneapolis South finished the job at White Bear Lake, as senior Yonis Noor scored all five of the team’s goals in a tight championship match to complete an undefeated season for the Tigers (10-0) and secure the program’s first championship. The title game marked the first game for Minneapolis South to be decided by fewer than four goals this season. Minneapolis South’s roster included: Adalid Salines, Miquel Pintor Ortiz, Lindasue Anderson, Yonis Noor, Christian Arpista Hernandez, Alton Gasper, Mariah Artis, Raul Solano Valentin, William Maze, Eliseo Sanchez Piedra, Abubakarr Hade, Christopher Trejo, Danny Sotamba, Jorge Rosas Bravo, Kevin Ponce, Mark Guasco, Ricky Landa and David Rodriquez Rosas. Braxton Small scored thrice for Rochester (7-3).
