ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – RocMaidan will be celebrating its 10th anniversary with a fundraising gala Saturday evening in Rochester at the Harro East Ballroom. The gala includes three hours of open bar, dinner, a formal program, musical performances, a silent auction, and more starting at 6 p.m. News 8's Adam Chodak will be emceeing the event. Nickole Riedl Sleight will play the bandura during the cocktail reception. Special guests will include Ukrainian veterans of the current war. Michael Burns, Deputy Mayor of the City of Rochester will delivery welcome remarks. Serhii Plokhii , is the professor of Ukrainian history at Harvard University, where he also serves as the director of the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute, will be the keynote speaker. RocMaidan's journey over the past decade has been marked by many achievements and milestones, including its commitment to providing humanitarian and medical aid to Ukraine.
