LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The cats halted a four game losing streak on Saturday with a 48-6 win over Murray State.
The cats totaled 582 yards of offense and were a perfect 6-6 in the red zone.
The game was split between two quarterbacks. Brock Vandagriff played the first half; throwing for 183 yards and two touchdowns.
The second half was controlled by Lexington’s own Cutter Boley. He connected a 22-yard pass with Anthony Brown-Stephens in the fourth quarter for his first career touchdown as a wildcat. Boley finished with 130 yards and two touchdown completions.
The Kentucky defense did their job. They only allowed six points, both from field goal attempts. While a lot of defensive players were missing from the lineup, players like Tre’vonn Rybka, Josiah Hayes and Keeshawn Silver proved the depth of Brad White’s squad.
