COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Three employees of a north Columbus McDonald's are facing assault charges after allegations that a drive-thru order dispute led to a drink thrown in a customer's van and that a three-way pounding left him with a broken face bone. According to documents from Columbus police and Franklin County Municipal Court, a drive-thru customer demanded to have his order corrected at the East 17th Avenue McDonald's, just off the Interstate 71 exit, about 12:50 a.m. on Oct. 17. One employee, Cedric Love, starting arguing with the customer, and another, Torshawn Williams, filled a cup from the drink fountain before the two, along with a third employee, Cornelious Goodrich, went outside. Store cameras recorded parts of this interaction as the driver remained at the pickup window. Williams threw the cup through the open driver's side window, causing the driver to get out of his van, and then the three began punching the driver in the head, the documents said. The driver suffered a broken orbital bone around his left eye that required surgery. On Wednesday, Goodrich appeared in court. He received a $30,000 bond and had a prior conviction from 2004 for voluntary manslaughter, spending 12 years in prison. On Thursday, Williams received a $50,000 bond and a temporary restraining order. Both are due back in court on Nov. 22. An arrest warrant was issued Nov. 6 for Love, who has yet to be taken into custody.
