(KRON) -- A family traveling in a minivan almost became victims of an electrocution tragedy on Friday, Cal Fire Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit firefighters said. The family's minivan lost control on a wet road in Lake County and crashed into a power pole. Impact from the collision caused live electrical wires to fall around the van. Family members should have remained inside their van, and they were lucky to survive the incident without injuries, Cal Fire officials said. Coming into contact with energized power lines can be fatal," the Cal Fire Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit wrote.
