FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A new medical facility is coming to central Fresno to assist the growing demands of the residents, officials with United Health Centers announced on Friday.
Officials with the nonprofit announced their new health center at the corner of First Street and Gettysburg Avenue will be opening on Nov. 18. The state-of-the-art, 12,383-square-foot facility, will offer medical services and dental care, with additional services including optometry, behavioral health, chiropractic care, and x-ray services coming soon.
Officials say the expansion will mark a significant step in "increasing access to quality healthcare for the underserved communities of ZIP codes 93726 and 93710, home to over 75,000 residents." The facility will include 12 medical exam rooms, 10 dental chairs, three optometry stations, a behavioral health room, and two chiropractic rooms.
Although the center will be open for operations beginning Monday, officials say the grand opening ceremony will take place on Dec. 20 at 11 a.m., and the public is invited to attend. New patients can schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-492-4227, texting 559-424-5863 or visiting the nonprofit's webpage.
