APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - The Appleton Public Library along with the Boldt Company hosted a tour of the current renovations within the building. The Appleton Public Library is undergoing a major renovation designed to create a brighter space where residents can participate in programs and resources without prior planning. Fox Cities Salvation Army kicks off 2024 Red Kettle Campaign The renovation project is currently in progress and aims to transform the library into a spotlight of discovery and creativity, encouraging visitors to wander through newly designed areas. "You no longer have to know there's a program down in the basement in this dark room that you really aren't sure you should go in or not if you weren't part of it. And now you know you're welcome in every space," says Colleen Rortvedt, the Appleton Public Library Director. They hope this design will spark engagement, allowing residents to connect with the library in brighter ways. Though parts of the library remain temporarily under construction, organizers are working to complete the project as soon as possible.
