FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Eel River Elementary students are conquering their fear of the doctor on Thursday as local nursing students are performing mock check-ups on young ones to familiarize them with medical professionals. The Teddy Bear Clinic at Gigi's Playhouse hosts Indiana University Fort Wayne nursing students to practice their technical skills on the children. Nursing students perform children's vitals, do mock x-rays and other routine procedures. No needles are involved. Stuffed animals and dolls are welcome. The Teddy Bear Clinic runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
