UPDATE: EPFD rescues man from falling 25 ft in Downtown El Paso hole

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - A 35-year-old man was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries after he fell about 25 feet down under a docking station toward the basement of a Downtown El Paso building on Wednesday, Nov. 13, according to El Paso Fire.

EPFD said crews were dispatched at approximately 4 p.m. to the U.S. Postal Service along Stanton Street and Main Street in Downtown El Paso.
Upon arrival, crews saw the docking station gate on the ground. EPFD said the man either moved it out or was trying to get underneath the dock.
EPFD's Special Rescue was called to the scene and hoisted the man out.
EPFD said the man was "conscious alert" and talking to crews. He was transported with minor injuries (Code 1), according to the department.
In addition, 13 EPFD units responded to the scene.
