Man injured during fight on Red Line train on Near North Side

A woman cut a man on the head during a fight Wednesday afternoon on a CTA Red Line train on the Near North Side, police said.The man, 58, was arguing with the woman about 2:40 p.m. while they were on the train in the 800 block of North State Street, near the Chicago Avenue station, when the woman pulled out a sharp object and swung it at the man, striking his head, Chicago police said.He suffered a laceration to his head and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.The woman fled south on Wabash Avenue, according to police. Area 3 detectives are investigating.The incident caused Red Line trains to bypass the Chicago Avenue station for around two hours.
