EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- Happy Wednesday, Borderland. We’re almost at the end of the workweek, and warmer-than-average temperatures will keep us through.  Calm, quiet conditions are in store for Thursday and Friday, with highs ranging from 75 to 80 degrees. Overnight, we can expect temperatures to drop to the mid-40s.  On Saturday, a storm system brings with it windy conditions and precipitation. A high near 78 degrees and a low of 44 are expected with possible evening showers. Come Sunday those showers increase with rain expected after 11 a.m. and in the evening. We’ll see a high near 65 degrees and a low of 38. The system will push into Monday where windy, rainy conditions continue. The cold front accompanying this system will produce a high near 63 degrees and a low near 34.   Tuesday conditions stabilize but will leave the region with below-normal temperatures. We’ll see sunny skies along with a high near 62 degrees and a low of 31. For Wednesday morning there’s a strong chance this will be the first freeze of the season. Be sure to bring in those pets and plants and prep your pipes before heading off to bed Tuesday night.   Plenty of sunshine is expected as we continue to see cooler temperatures for the rest of your workweek.
