New Orleans Saints tasked with keeping the energy after snapping losing streak

METAIRIE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Saints fell into the NFL stereotype of teams having more juice after firing a head coach mid-season.
The energy the Saints had in Sunday’s win over the Atlanta Falcons, snapping their seven-game losing streak, was palpable. Saints interim head coach Darren Rizzi said the energy jumped off the tape.
The next big thing for the Saints is replicating it.
Rizzi emphasized the team’s biggest challenge this week is sustaining the same level of energy while continuing to prepare the same way. He believes the team has the right formula in place, it’s just about being consistent with it and making sure the team continues to stay uncomfortable.

"I want the guys walking in here every day thinking, all right, what's next," said Rizzi. "It might be the smallest thing. We've got to continue to do that. We're going to kind of continue to keep everybody alert. I just don't want to get into that same old, same mentality. The good news is we made all those changes last week and we had a positive result."
"And so, I think the guys will come in here this week and say, hey, listen to this, we had a really good result. This is what we did last week. The buy-in is huge, I think. Are we going to throw a couple more wrinkles out of this week? Heck, yeah. I'll try to do that every week. Try to keep everybody on their toes and keep them fresh," said Rizzi.
