EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Community Foundation Plaza Classic Film Festival will be presenting free holiday movies throughout WinterFest which starts next Saturday, Nov. 23. The 13th-holiday movies series will be screening over six weekends, with eight films in the Plaza Theatre and four at the El Paso Museum of Art. Admission is free. The Plaza Theatre only allows clear bags and small purses. This year's holiday movies are the following: Sunday, Nov. 24, at the Plaza Theatre 1 p.m.: The Nightmare Before Christmas (PG) 3:30 p.m.: Home Alone (PG) Saturday, Nov. 30, at the El Paso Museum of Art 1 p.m.: A Christmas Story (PG) 3:30 p.m.: White Christmas (PG) Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Plaza Theatre 1 p.m.: Elf (PG) 3:30 p.m.: It’s a Wonderful Life (PG) Saturday, Dec. 14, at the El Paso Museum of Art 1 p.m.: The Muppet Christmas Carol (G) 3:30 p.m.: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (PG-13) Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Plaza Theatre 1 p.m.: The Polar Express (G) 3:30 p.m.: Frozen (PG) Sunday, Jan. 5, at the Plaza Theatre 1 p.m.: How the Grinch Stole Christmas (PG) 3:30 p.m.: Ice Age (PG) WinterFest will run from Saturday, Nov. 23, through Sunday, Jan. 5, in Downtown El Paso. The annual tree lighting ceremony and Scherr Legate WinterFest Lights Parade will take place that Saturday, Nov. 23, and ice skating at The Rink will also begin that Saturday.
