TOPEKA (KSNT) - Topeka City Councilmember Spencer Duncan joined the 27 News Morning Show to talk about the chief of police finalists and the city's focus on infrastructure.
Duncan said he was proud of the city's work to reduce property taxes. He said the city has lowered property taxes for 14 consecutive years.
"We haven't just not increased our mill levy," Duncan said. "We've been able to reduce it. We've also adopted a program I introduced that's a property tax rebate program for elderly and low-income citizens to help reduce that burden."
