Bayou Blue man accused of hitting another man with vehicle

LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A Bayou Blue man is facing an attempted murder charge after he allegedly hit another man with his car on Saturday, Nov. 9.
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office reported that deputies responded to a report of a crash in Bayou Blue around 2:45 p.m.

At the scene, LPSO deputies said they learned that 33-year-old Lamor Belanger allegedly drove his car into another vehicle, causing a man standing near it to be injured.
The man was taken to a hospital and was last reported to be in critical condition. A woman who was driving the vehicle was also taken to a hospital to be evaluated.

LPSO officials said an investigation revealed that Belanger allegedly saw the man and the woman near a school in the area and "intentionally rammed the other vehicle" before driving away from the scene.
Belanger was arrested and faces charges of attempted second-degree murder and aggravated criminal damage to property.
