CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WRIC) -- The Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) recently announced that they are launching a brick campaign to support Virginia Athletics -- offering people the chance to cement their legacy. According to the foundation, Virginia fans and alumni will be able to participate in the commemorative brick campaign by purchasing a customized brick that will be placed at John Paul Jones Arena. The bricks will laid outside the main entrance of the arena, allowing donors the option to decorate one of the iconic venues of college basketball. All of the proceeds from the campaign will go towards the Hoos Success Fund (HSF), which helps provide over 750 Virginia student-athletes broad-based and unrestricted support. Those that want to participate can choose between two purchase options: Standard Brick Package One 4 by 8 inch brick paver and one 4 by 8 inch brick replica Premium Brick Package One 4 by 8 inch brick paver and one 8 by 8 inch granite replica Each brick will have a custom name and message that are engraved. The character limit is 16 characters per line and all text will be center justified. The inscriptions will be subject to approval by the VAF.
