Once again, a RED FLAG WARNING is in effect for Southern New England today for a combination of very low relative humidity, abundance of available dry tinder and a gusty northerly wind. Outdoor burning is discouraged and careful disposal of smoking materials is advised. Weather-wise, we are in a brief and intense cold snap. Lows in the upper-20s and high temperatures will top out in the mid-40s. For comparison, our average high for today is 54 with an average low of 37. At least the sky will be clear with tons of sunshine, but it will be breezy which means the wind chill will also make it feel colder than the actual air temperature. Thursday will be another colder than average one with sunny skies and temps in the 20s to start and highs near 47. Friday will have an increase in clouds with a slight chance of a late day shower. Friday highs will be a tad milder in the lower-50s. The upcoming weekend will be sunny and dry with warmer highs closer to 60. Categories: News, Weather Forecast
