(WRIC) — 8News Sports Director Nolan Knight was joined by Digital Producer Will Gonzalez for this week’s Knight-Cap to discuss the changing tides for UVA and Virginia Tech Football, as well as the VCU and Richmond Men's Basketball teams' strong start to their seasons. This week, the Cavaliers won against the Pittsburgh Panthers after three consecutive losses, putting the team back in bowl game contention. The Hokies had their second consecutive loss against Clemson and are now at risk of ending the regular season at 5-7. Nolan and Will also discussed the strong start the Rams and Spiders have had to their regular seasons, with the Rams at 2-0 after definitive wins against Bellarmine and Boston College and the Spiders at 1-1 after a 33-point win against Mount Olive and a 7-point loss to Marist.
