Joy on the Avenue promises to bring a number of holiday-themed food and drink items to the spot at 2312 Mount Vernon Ave. in Alexandria. Among the food items are Rudolph's Bavarian Pretzel, Bleu, Bleu, Bleu Christmas Bites, and Whoville's Cranberry & Brie Bites. Your sweet choices include Bourbon Bread Pudding. On the libations side of things, cocktails include Partridge in a Pear Tree, We Forgot Kevin!, and Baby It's Cold Outside. ‘The Lobby’ in Georgetown promises ‘elevated wine and cocktail experience’ The themed pop-up bar has been a fixture on Mount Vernon, brought there by HomeGrown Restaurant Group, which is transitioning the space from Nightmare on the Avenue to Joy on the Avenue. The bar's website did not give a specific date for its opening as of Nov. 12. It simply said it would be welcoming guests at the end of the month.
