SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KRON) -- Nick Bosa and his 49ers teammates broke out in dance after the star pass rusher sacked Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game. Many speculated that the staunch Donald Trump supporter was imitating the president elect's now-famous dance move. The sack and dance earned Bosa a shout-out from his candidate of choice. "NICK BOSA IS A GREAT PLAYER!" Trump posted on Truth Social. 49ers’ Nick Bosa shows Trump support, flashes MAGA hat during postgame interview Video captured by fans showed Bosa dancing after the sack, appearing to imitate a move that has become quite popular since Trump's reelection. Teammates Leonard Floyd and Sam Okuayinonu joined him. If his dance was an ode to Trump, he was not alone. The first slate of games since the election saw college football players break out the move. Bosa was recently fined by the NFL for crashing his teammates' postgame interview with NBC with a "Make America Great Again" hat. The stunt cost Bosa $11,255, but he is not sweating the money. "It was well worth it,” Bosa said. Bosa's preference for Trump dates back to his college days. The Ohio State product tweeted his support for Trump before making the NFL but deleted the tweets as the 2019 draft approached. "I had to," he told ESPN. "There is a chance I might end up in San Francisco." Bosa did end up in San Francisco, and after laying low for a few years, he appears to be back to vocally supporting Trump.
