DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – Our Lady of Lourdes parish in De Pere is honoring veterans by displaying military uniforms and flags from each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, many of which were donated by parish families. This tradition, started a few years ago, has continued to grow thanks to the dedication of parish volunteers. "It reminds us how much those who served mean to our Lourdes family, our community, and our nation." At the conclusion of Mass, veterans receive a special blessing and applause from the congregation.
