Sunny Veterans Day, Rain on the Horizon!
Nov 11, 2024
It will be sunny and breezy for our Veterans Day. Temperatures will climb to the upper 50s and lower 60s this afternoon. Wind gusts up to 30 mph will be possible.
A cold front passes across the state today. It will come through dry, so, no rain in the forecast. However, it will send temperatures to cooler levels tonight. Temperatures will fall to the upper 30s early Tuesday morning.
Tuesday will be a cooler day with high temperatures that only rebound to the lower 50s. This will be our only below average day this week. Our average high temperature for Indianapolis is 54°. We will see daily highs above that again begin Wednesday on through the weekend.
Our next rain chance comes Wednesday evening with scattered showers moving into the western side of the state in the mid evening hours and spreading across the state late Wednesday into early Thursday. Thursday will begin wet but rain will ease into the afternoon and we turn dry during the evening. Overall, rainfall totals are likely to be near 1/2" or less in most locations.
Our mild pattern continues into next weekend as sunshine returns and temperatures rise back into the 60.
