ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The University of New Mexico football team got back in the win column and kept its bowl game hopes alive thanks to a 21-16 victory over SDSU late Friday night. Once again, the offense seemed to move the ball with ease. UNM racked up 475 yards of total offense and 300 rushing yards. Defensively, the Lobos allowed 341 total yards with 195 through the air and 146 on the ground. UNM committed eight penalties for 104 yards. Devon Dampier finished his night 16-24 for 175 yards and a touchdown through the air and added 127 yards on the ground. Eli Sanders had a second consecutive 100 yard rushing performance with 173 and two touchdowns. Ryan Davis was the team's leading receiver with 47 yards and a touchdown. Thanks to the win, UNM's record now sits at 4-6. Up next is a home game against Washington State on Saturday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m.
